How we design
Our consultation process
At your invitation, we will visit your house and garden. We charge a nominal fee for this first meeting.
· With you we will walk around the garden space and listen to understand your aims.
· We will provide advice on what you want to achieve, and importantly whether we are able to help. Depending on the size and scale of garden and your ambitions /plans/aims this typically will take one to three hours, or more for substantial gardens.
· Often it is useful to refer to reference books, photographs and magazines to evoke the look and feel for your garden. This is an iterative session.
· Once we get back to the studio, we will write up our meeting, making design notes, give clear opinion of what will and won't work, and how we can help. This is the design brief. We will provide you with this written design brief for consideration.
· We tell you also, going forward, what we will charge for our planning and design time, any surveys, plans, local council searches or applications, visits and planting advice should you wish to go ahead. You now can digest this and use it as a useful document to start to plan your future garden.
If you like our ideas and the brief we have prepared and are interested in taking the process forward, we hope you will call us to ask some more questions and to agree the next steps in the process to design your new garden.
